instruction No. 04/2025
This instruction establishes a dedicated grievance redressal mechanism for applicants facing issues in GST registration processing by Central tax authorities. Applicants whose ARN is assigned to Central jurisdiction may raise grievances regarding improper queries or rejection of applications. Zonal Principal Chief Commissioners or Chief Commissioners are directed to publicise a dedicated email ID for receipt of grievances. Grievances relating to State jurisdiction are to be forwarded to the concerned State authorities with intimation to the GST Council Secretariat. Monthly reporting of grievance disposal status to DGGST is mandated. The instruction aims to ensure speedy, transparent, and accountable resolution of registration-related grievances.
