The October collections comprised ₹30,062 crore as CGST, ₹38,171 crore as SGST, ₹91,315 crore as IGST (including ₹42,127 crore from imports), and ₹12,456 crore as compensation cess. During the month, the Centre settled ₹42,873 crore to CGST and ₹36,614 crore to SGST from IGST collections, ensuring steady revenue flow to both the Centre and the States. With this performance, the average gross monthly GST collection in FY 2023–24 rose to ₹1.66 lakh crore, which is 11 percent higher than the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Overall, the October revenue figures underline the resilience of the GST system and the continued momentum in India’s economic recovery.
